Behind Bars to Member of the Bar

Attorney Mark Nicholson: Behind Bars and Now a Member of the Bar
Once convicted and sent to prison for manslaughter, Mark Nicholson is now a defense attorney in Marion County.
Mark Nicholson went from behind bars to becoming a member of the Bar.
The Plainfield Correctional Facility (IYC) recently welcomed a guest speaker who spent some time with the offender population in the facility. He spoke about being behind bars in prison to being a member of the Bar for attorneys.
Mark Nicholson was part of the IYC’s Black History Month Celebration, and he shares a special bond with his audience as he was once an inmate himself, serving time on a manslaughter charge.
He was featured in an Indianapolis Monthly article, Hendricks County Flyer newspaper, and Indiana Department of Correction press release.
